Renewable Biomass Fibre for the Low-Carbon Economy

We bring our innovative touch to every project, proving that nothing is impossible.

Recovered biomass fiber is a versatile, renewable feedstock with the potential to support a wide range of low-carbon industries. Produced from source-separated biodegradable materials that would otherwise be sent to landfill, it helps divert organic waste, reduce methane emissions and recover valuable resources that would otherwise be lost. The result is a consistent biomass resource capable of replacing virgin and fossil-based raw materials across multiple manufacturing sectors.

From renewable fuels and clean energy to sustainable packaging, biochar and low-carbon construction materials, recovered biomass creates new opportunities to manufacture high-value products while reducing dependence on landfill disposal and supporting the transition to a more circular, resource-efficient economy.

Renewable Fuels

Our biomass fiber provides a renewable and sustainable feedstock for the production of advanced biofuels, offering a consistent alternative to purpose-grown energy crops while supporting a more circular and resource-efficient use of biodegradable waste. Its homogeneous composition makes it ideally suited to biological conversion processes, including ABE fermentation to produce acetone, butanol and ethanol.

02

Sustainable Aviation Fuel

The transition to low-carbon aviation requires innovative renewable feedstocks. Wilson Fibre® offers significant potential for emerging Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production pathways, converting recovered biodegradable resources into low-carbon aviation fuels that help reduce lifecycle emissions while creating high-value products from materials that would otherwise be discarded.

Paper and Sustainable Packaging

Replacing virgin fiber with recovered biomass creates a more sustainable pathway for manufacturing paper, fiber-based packaging, moulded products and other bio-based materials. By transforming recovered biodegradable resources into high-value manufacturing feedstocks, Gateway Green Recycling helps reduce pressure on natural resources while supporting a more circular, resource-efficient economy.

04

Renewable Energy Generation

Recovered biomass fiber provides a renewable, low-carbon fuel for Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems and renewable energy generation, offering a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels. Its high biogenic content enables the efficient production of renewable electricity and heat while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, diverting waste from landfill, and supporting Canada's transition to a cleaner, more resilient energy system.

Biochar and Sustainable Construction Materials

Through advanced thermal conversion, our fiber can be transformed into high-quality biochar, creating a renewable carbon material for use across the construction sector. When incorporated into concrete, cement, and other building products, biochar has the potential to reduce embodied carbon, permanently store biogenic carbon, and support the development of more sustainable, lower-emission construction materials.
